I actually still like the broken down look (as long as I don’t sit in the cracked plastic booth) :-) (This) woman cannot live by industrial loft style design alone.
We were there early (for a Saturday — 9 a.m.) and didn’t have any wait. We figured no one would be standing outside in the rain. The food service was reasonable, though not lightning fast and we got our coffee right away.
Another thing I like (which may launch a rant at moi :-) ) is that even though they’re crowded, they don’t make the people lucky enough to be seated feel rushed. I probably wouldn’t like that quite as much if I were one of the people waiting.
