Corrie…
the structure of my novel is such that i have pretty much had to read what i wrote from the beginning to find what my voice should be telling next each time i break… so i write madly for as long as i can stay at the keyboard.
this is not working for my dogs.
i have been reading aloud.. and that helps to do some fine tuning and error fixing as i go.. but it is getting too cumbersome to be able to do that.
i am beginning to think i am going to have to take notes and put a list of incidents next to the computer as it write them so i don’t fall too much into the repeat trap…
A format this long has always been challenging for me since i am at heart a sit on the beach with the waves crashing scribble with a pencil kind of writer. That works great with poetry, essay and short story.. not so much with a novel.
i may love the words themselves too much.
You can think of me tonight as you bend to your keyboard.. i am about to stop procrastinating and move to mine:)
maybe i should take the dogs out first:)
