Qigong and Tai Chi
Qigong and Tai Chi are ancient Chinese practices that promote balance, well-being, self-awareness, and reduce stress. The morning will incorporate several sessions, so you can experience a range of practices. No experience necessary. Led by Master Viola Brumbaugh, a beloved teacher of Tai Chi and Qigong here in West Seattle (in Lincoln Park this summer), Burien, Capitol Hill, as well as on Zoom. You can learn more about what she offers by visiting the Wise Orchid Taijiquan and Qigong website: www.wise-orchid.com.Meditation
No experience is necessary and enough instruction will be given for people new to meditation to give it a try. For more experienced meditators, incorporating movement into your meditation practice can deepen and integrate your practice into your life. Meditation instruction will be given by Jill Boone, Buddhist Lay Minister, who leads the West Seattle Buddhist Sangha. The morning is offered freely by Viola and Jill, with an opportunity and encouragement to make a donation (cash or check only) in support of Puget Soundkeeper Alliance, a nonprofit that protects and preserves the waters of the Puget Sound.
Covid restrictions – we will follow any current requirements and if there are none, we encourage arriving with a mask on and settling your chair and space with social distancing in mind.
