Dennis James has dedicated his professional career to the theatrical traditions of organ performance and furthering public interest in the pipe organ. From the time he began performing concerts while still in his teens, James has been at the top of the organ profession. He has played virtually everywhere pipe organs are to be found, from the spectacular movie palaces throughout the United States and Canada to the most prestigious concert halls and theaters in Europe and the Far East, and now Kenyon Hall.

In this performance Dennis James will be scoring the silent film Peter Pan. Peter Pan is a 1924 American silent adventure film released by Paramount Pictures, the first film adaptation of the 1904 play by J. M. Barrie. Directed by Herbert Brenon and starring Betty Bronson as Peter Pan, Ernest Torrence as Captain Hook, and Mary Brian as Wendy, the film was seen by Walt Disney and inspired him to create his company’s 1953 animated adaptation.
