From Providence Mount St. Vincent:
Art teacher, Bridget Daly loves this time of year. As spring comes to a close, she looks at the art produced throughout the year by the children of the Intergenerational Learning Center and residents at The Mount. Beginning May 18th, she will hang a selection of pieces created by residents and children the main hallway just beyond the lobby on the 1st floor. “Each year I watch the residents and ILC children blossom and expand, starting project after project with perseverance and creative verve.”
To celebrate the end of the school year and all this creativity, The Mount has an annual Intergenerational Art Show and Sale. This year the show will be held from May 18th – June 14th with an Artist Reception on Thursday, May 24th from 4-6 pm in the front lobby. At the show, individual pieces of art will be available for sale with the proceeds benefiting the art program at The Mount. Family members of children and residents have the first opportunity to buy their child/family member’s picture through May 25th with sales open to the general public beginning May 26th – June 14th.
