8:05 PM: For those wondering, KING 5 TV confirms the victory parade will be on 4th Avenue this Wednesday (February 11), northbound from Pioneer Square.

ADDED MONDAY MORNING: The official announcement of a 10 am Wednesday Lumen Field celebration (free tickets required) and 11 am parade on 4th Avenue is here.

Agree 100%. My pets are going nuts. Making crying sounds I’ve never heard. I really disliked illegal fireworks.

I’m not trying to tell anybody that they can’t celebrate the Seahawks Super Bowl win, Independence Day or whatever event they choose to celebrate, but Fireworks are just no longer a good way to do that. They terrify pets (as my fellow commenters have pointed out), they start fires (big ones in some cases), they leave a mess and they blow off fingers all the time. They’re a terrible way to celebrate.

Less than a week. If the parade’s on Wednesday, something else will move up on Thursday. But hey, it’s almost time for spring training to bring baseball back into the spotlight …

  This is probably true though personally I can co-exist with baseball. I’ve never been able to understand that if there are multiple uncalled fouls, or wrongly called fouls, on every play of an NFL game ( as my cousin claims) how fans get around this cognitive dissonance. Its like wink and nod Big Time wrestling.
