5:09 PM: Helicopter has moved on. We think we know what was going on but trying to confirm.
5:50 PM: Had to dig through archives of a couple channels but found it: They were looking for a stolen car after getting a “LoJack hit” and they circled while deputies on the ground near 34th/104th checked out the possibilities.

Yes, thanks. Watching it was easy (that’s my favorite flight tracker too). Figuring out why it’s there, not so much! And it turned out to be just a KCSO – the helicopter’s home agency – case after all, which explains why SPD couldn’t help me when I inquired….

Just keep circling over Seola Pond and immediate vicinity. Haven’t seen any police on the ground but I’m a block away from the pond.
They buzzed Alki a bit ago, and when we left there were 4 or 5 cop cars in front of the preschool with a sketchy looking Charger and dudes detained. Wonder if it’s related.
no, that was a person allegedly reported for a gun .. and turned out to have a CPL.
over the Shorewood area going in circles for over half hour now.

They are still circling (5:12) – seem to be kinda south them kinda north, but still circling.
Several units of the Fuzz at a residence on the 10000 block of 34th Ave SW. Guardian One just fluttered away.
Multiple king county sheriff vehicles on 34th in between 102nd and 104th!
Finally sleuthed it out. The helicopter got a LoJack signal for a possible stolen car and circled while deputies investigated it on the ground.
