After Bakery Nouveau posted on social media that it’s closed in West Seattle until January 3rd, we got a couple questions about why, so we went to The Junction in hopes of finding someone there to ask. The sign on the door attributes the closure to “oven issues,” and that’s what an employee on site told us, saying the holiday posed a bit of difficulty in getting parts.
We were there on Sunday during the farmers market and an employee was telling everyone that their two big ovens had broken down so they only had one small one to work with.
If we were ever to lose the Bakery Nouveau Almond turnover I don’t know what I’d do.😦 They’re the best!
This is the best thing that’s happened to my waist since stretch pants. Unfortunately for my waist, I’ll probably be there Jan 4th when they open.
In the meantime, try Fresh Flours in White Center… Fantastic twice baked almond croissants.

We appreciate the heads up! Probably all the holiday baking just finished the two ovens. Back to my main point, why is this bakery so delicious, I’ve never had goodies like this?! And the coffee (vanilla latte) are sooo good. Too bad I only go once a year but truly the most delicious place that’s mastered what a bakery should be. Burien location is great too, sometimes line out the door!
