6:20 PM: Various areas of West Seattle just lost power for a minute or two. You? (So far, no widespread outage reported, but it was more than a “flicker.”) … So far we’ve heard from North Admiral, South Admiral, The Triangle, Gatewood, Upper Fauntleroy (us). Also High Point, which reported “booms” around the same time, and South Delridge. No SFD calls so far, though.

7:06 PM: The booms seem to have been along SW Graham. LyndaB near 36th/Graham believes balloons might be the culprit. (Added: Texted photo)

Yes, had a complete shutdown of all power, came back up for a second, went out again for a second and then came up and stayed, thank goodness. Gatewood, a few blocks south of Thriftway.

Yeah on 31st Ave in high point quick power outage. No booms heard though.

We saw two flashes with successive loud booms outside our house. 36th Ave and Graham. It looks like two helium balloons hit the power line.

Don’t know whether it’s related. Our Xfinity service in South Delridge had multiple outages off and on throughout the day today. It’s finally back on again just now after the momentary power outage. Hopefully, we won’t lose it again.

About 15 seconds near 35th & Willow. Didn’t hear any booms way up here. Centurylink internet came back as soon as the fiber modem rebooted.

35th and Morgan.. it flicked off for like 30 seconds, then on… the immediately off for about a minute, heard a couple maybe 3 BOOOOOOMS! Then it came back on..

Had it over by Roxbury, believe we thought we also saw flickering in the morning too maybe noonish, but never lost power. This isn’t the first time recently that this has happened, had it about six weeks ago and the WS Blog wrote about that time also. Since it’s recurring, really starting to wonder what the big picture is about why this is happening and does the future hold a black out for West Seattle?
