You are welcome. The sun helped to accentuate these lovely slime molds.

Great photo! Does Rosalie have a website or Instagram? I tried to look her up but didn’t find anything on Google except for other WSB photo credits. I’d love to follow other slime mold photographers in West Seattle.

I do post on Instagram at walks.with.ro, including slime molds and other nature photos.

Seattle Public Schools has another budget meeting that will be livestreamed beginning at 4:30. https://www.seattleschools.org/calendar/school-board-work-session-9/The last meeting only described the deficit they were facing, and said no schools would be consolidated for the upcoming school year. This meeting is supposed to go into more detail about how the district will stabilize their finances.

Interested in how she got this shot.Hoping we can hook up, and chat about it.Keep on doing what you are doing. It works.

I take similar shots and my setup is an Olympus micro four thirds camera with a 60mm macro lens, a stack of extension tubes (26 or 52mm depending on the subject), and a Raynox DCR-250 magnifier. With the depth of field in this image I’m guessing this photo was shot with either a tight aperture like f22 or a focus stack. This slime mold is about 3-4mm tall.

Thank you. I use my iphone12 with the Xenvo macro clip-on lens to take these photos.

Ah, cool. The small sensor on a phone can give a huge depth of field!

        • Rosalie Miller May 5, 2023 (11:11 am)

Yes, I’ve been very happy with the Xenvo lens!

I use my iPhone 12 and a clip on lens for macro shots by Xenvo.

Sorry, comment time is over.
