About the police activity in North Delridge

Thanks for all the tips. Police caught a lot of attention this past hour with bullhorn warnings and sirens in North Delridge. According to archived police audio, it all started with a domestic-violence call in the 4800 block of 25th SW, someone reporting that their partner was threatening them with a weapon. The suspect apparently left the scene on foot and police have been searching for her; we don’t know yet whether they have made an arrest.

Thank you!! I’ve been waiting for this post. I heard all the sirens and stuff. Then pulled up a live scanner and heard about a person on foot and her name and description. But wasn’t sure what exactly happened. There is also a live tweet that went out about a missing child near the golf course about 15 mins ago. Scary stuff.

Sorry I didn’t hear about this one when it started but thanks to the many people who texted. Re: “missing child” tweet, please remember that the SPD Tweets by Beat are automated and generated by what’s called in, though often what’s called in doesn’t pan out or is resolved quickly – haven’t heard anything about a search so far, so hopefully that call will be or has been quickly resolved. Generally if there is a serious search for someone, from child to elder, they’ll tweet about it with a photo on the main SPD feed. – TR
