WEST SEATTLE TURKEY: Sightings continue

(Photo sent by FL, near 42nd/Bradford)

Thanks for all the photos! So far no definitive opinions on whether the turkey that’s just turned up in West Seattle (here’s our report from Saturday) is THE turkey who spent a year here before departing, southbound, in April 2020.

This one seems to be a fan of apartment courtyards among other habitats:

It doesn’t seem particularly daunted by people or their pets:

Let us know if the turkey turns up in YOUR neighborhood!

If the Turkey happens to be reading this, my South Delridge apartment complex has a nice little courtyard…  ;-) —Mike

Happy to see a wild turkey in WS again, always enjoy these photos :)

This one looks different from the og TWST though, softer colored feathers?

I’m curious if turkey fetters change color over their lifespan.  Any turkey fetters experts out there?! (I just like spelling it that way)

As a forager this bird likely wouldn’t be too tasty. Check out the Thriftway meat case. Saw two turkeys there Tuesday morning. Not as resplendent as this gal, of course, unceremoniously wrapped in white plastic …

Hear Hear, Resplendent indeed.  I’d like to go ahead and second the condemnation of the consumption of WSTurkey.

Yeah, wild turkeys aren’t exactly Butterballs.

We had a t-shirt contest for the bridge. We gotta get one going for the turkey!

Look at that… would you just look at it.  That is one healthy, glorious Turkey.  I’m on board for a WSTurkey-T-Shirt Contest.  What’s the vig, and whatta we gotta do to get this thing off the ground (pun intended!)…. Oh what a majestic wing-ed bird  :)

Many a high flying Wild Turkey has been brought down by a piece of tail.

Sorry, comment time is over.
