With new, more contagious variant showing up in Snohomish & Pierce county -definitely considering double masking in more crowded places like grocery stores.  If one can tolerate double masks-it can’t hurt.

I’m double masking too and started getting groceries from Amazon, it’s easier anyway, same day delivery, I might never go back to regular shopping.

Yes I have started to wear double masks. I wear a cloth mask and a disposable mask on top.

This seems like cool advice that would have been super helpful like 8 months ago. Thanks, doc.

I’ll be going into paranoia overdrive mode – two masks and a face shield! Please don’t take offense if you see me and I walk to the other side of the street Stay safe neighbors ❤️

Time to live in a hamster ball when I go of my house.

Its seems to be all talk and no action. When and where in West Seattle can we get the vaccine shots? Did I miss something?

We are watching that as closely as we can. Eventually there will be places – we mentioned last week that local Safeway pharmacies are among the future locations, for example – but they don’t have vaccine yet. The Sea Mar Clinics in White Center and South Park are listed as walk-in locations but they are out of vaccine. The nearest I’ve heard of anyone getting it (aside from local longterm-care facilities) is the CHI Franciscan hospital in Burien.

FYI…Hospital is now St Anne, no longer Highline Medical/CHI Franciscan if anyone tries looking them up

I know, just noting that it’s the hospital run by CHI Franciscan.

I recently started going to the gym again and am double masking there. I felt self conscious until I turned around to see a guy doing his lifting routine with his mask pulled down to his chin, exposing mouth and nose, gulping air. I’m not eligible for a vaccine until later phases, so yes, now I’m absolutely double masking in enclosed commercial spaces. I was surprised that doubling the basic blue surgical mask was oddly more comfortable than expected.

The mask rule in gyms is clear and simple. Masks must be worn at all times during a workout. If you can’t follow the rule, don’t go into a gym. There is no excuse for anyone to pull his mask down.

Sorry, comment time is over.
