The report and photo are from Peter:

Last night my 1987 Toyota 4Runner was stolen from the front of my house near the intersection of Woodside and Myrtle. It is black with a black fabric top on the rear. WA plates BBC2458. A police report has been filed.

If you see it, call 911.

UPDATE: Peter reports it was found, abandoned in White Center.

Thank you for sharing, WS Blog!  My husband and I hope to recover this truck! Such a bummer.

My similar truck was recovered from 6200 beach drive, a construction site that appears to be on hold.   There was a shooting up there recently if I remember correctly.   The truck was being driven around west seattle and that appears to have been the home base.  They were rather meticulously stripping interior parts off mine when it was found.   It was taken from Gatewood near you. I can’t recommend going up there but if you do do it in a vehicle.  It’s a roundabout with 5 houses so if there is trouble you can just keep driving to get out – assuming the roadway is still clear.  It is posted.

Sorry, comment time is over.
