We live one house down from where this occurred. The loud crash woke me up . In the last 6 years there seems to be one accident a year along this stretch of thistle.- mainly speed and inattentive driving. The driver slammed into parked car and flipped. When I went outside to see if driver was ok he was on curb saying he “felt a little out of it” and hoped he wouldn’t get DWI. SPD and Seattle Fire were quick to respond

The log this morning verifies this is under investigation as DUI. I’ll update the story as soon as I get a minute to check the jail register.

      DWI.  No sympathy for him.

All dangerous driving should be treated as severely as DWI. Endangering the lives of others is unacceptable no matter the level of intoxication.

Are we going for a record here in WS for the most flipped cars?  I do not know how you can flip a car unless you are going as fast as you can.  Last time I checked most arterial’s are 30 or under in WS.   Please slow down.

“As fast as you can” seems to be many people’s idea of how to operate a car. With no enforcement and an increasingly entitled mentality of people living here, it’s a surprise stuff like this doesn’t happen more often.

Can we get a “## days since last flipped car.” board on the front page?

    Flip city

West Seattle is in contention for “Flipped Car Capital of the West Coast.” I have never seen any town close. And I now live in California. Good riddance to this BS.

Actually, it’s likely only Flipped Car Coverage Capital. If you don’t have a 24/7 community-news publication (most neighborhoods don’t), you just don’t/won’t hear about it. For better or worse, we’re here, covering the news, from flipped cars to turkey sightings and a whole lot inbetween. P.S. Have fun in California! I was born there & lived there a combined 18 years, childhood in San Diego and LA, one young-adulthood stretch in Davis, then one more stretch in San Diego before we moved here. – TR

Yeah. Arroyo Grande which is next door to Pismo Beach and just down the hill from San Luis Obispo. Great weather, very little traffic, and lettuce and strawberry fields (almost) forever.  Lived in Washington state my whole life, and the Seattle area since 1964.And here the local NBC affiliate covers most car wrecks and high school football games. Heck, they even cover new four way stop signs. The local newspaper even covers shoplifting. lol

I think the hum has something to do with all the flipped cars.

Sorry, comment time is over.
