We have found a lost kitty who has been in our yard all day. I plan on taking him to Burien CARES tomorrow, but thought I would post here as well. He doesn’t seem to be going anywhere, and I can’t bring him in because we have 2 cats.
I’m pretty sure it’s a boy. He is very friendly and sweet. Seems to be pretty young still, I have a feeling he escaped from someone’s home. He does not appear to be a stray, he tried running right into the house and is very playful. We are located in White Center, just off Roxbury by Holy Family Church.. If you’ve lost a cat in this area, please let me know! He is a gray tabby with a tinge of brown.
We didn’t have any luck finding the owner and have left kitty at RASKC in Kent. He was found in unincorporated White Center so this was the location our vet said to bring him to. He was scanned for a microchip and does not have one. He is a young intact male, if that info helps anyone who may be looking for him. He is the nicest kitty! I’m sure he will get adopted if the owners do not come forward. Part of the decision to bring him to a shelter right away was because his right cheek started swelling today and I think he might have an abscess and he needs to be seen by a vet. Very sad to let him go! But we have two kitties who are not happy with the extra houseguest.
LC – I am enquiring about the cat you took to the shelter because It looks so much like my cat. I got a post from someone saying I needed to check this post out. I Am unfamiliar with this website and wasn’t sure if you said the owners were reunited or if those comments were something else? You said you took it to RASK and you mentioned they said it was not microchipped. We have been missing a cat Sallee from the Renton Highlands since August 2nd. Ours is microchipped and has gray but more brownish/tan highlights. Its striping is so close and the face is remarkably like hers. I know you mentioned you thought it was male! But I am just wishful, hoping! Please if you will respond and let me know if this cat was indeed reunited then I can continue to search elsewhere! Thank you and God bless you – warmly, Kim Magnuson
NEW UPDATE:I happened to see a post on next-door with a cat that looked just like the one that showed up in our yard, and I messaged the owner and it turns out it was their kitty! They went and picked him up at the shelter today and his name is Simba. Somehow he made it all the way from Highland Park to White Center. What a great resolution!
