  check the serial number on the bottom bracket and then check it on http://www.bikeindex.com and find out who its registered to

    We’ve actually heard from the owner already and he should be getting his bike tomorrow. Thanks to the readers who saw this and knew whose bike it is!

      We Thank you again Gary. It was so kind of you to recover our bike and notify West Seattle Blog of its discovery. We need more people like you in our neighborhood.

  If Gary can find the serial number on he bottom bracket, it’s worth looking at posts on the Bike Index, to see if it matches any stolen nearby. The photo seems to match the description and model of one stolen from Beacon Hill.

    West Seattle, as it turns out, and apparently we had the post up even before the bicycle’s owner realized it was stolen.

      Your so right ! My boyfriend got home from work and had already received a text from our friends asking us to look outside and see if our bike was outside. Just a cut lock lay on the ground ! I was so happy to have gotten the news and learn of its recovery so quickly. Almost like an Amber Alert for missing property ! Great stuff. Thanks WSB, and much gratitude to Gary for its recovery and return.
