TRAFFIC/TRANSIT TODAY: Monday updates

(Six WS-relevant views; more cams on the WSB Traffic page)
8:32 AM: The rain has been the major factor in an overall slow commute so far this morning; no major incidents in the area.

9:53 AM: Important note from “Trickycoolj” in the comments:

There are MASSIVE potholes on Sylvan Way next to Home Depot. The rain is hiding them. They are longer than a car tire and yesterday you could see the dirt underneath the roadway they were so deep. It appears that someone (maybe SPD) put some very beat up orange cones in them this morning and they are half submerged the holes are so deep. Be careful or you’ll be buying new tires for Christmas!!

Potholes can be reported either through the city’s Find It Fix It app or this online form.

Reported them when I got to work this morning. I doubt they’ll be able to fix them with waterfalls streaming down the street. Happens every year wish they would fix it right.

I was heading to the Junction on the Admiral bound 128 on Saturday and there was a Metro Supervisor, as well as an SPD unit in that area. Expected to see a broken down, bus, or a collision involving a bus.

    .

Before I got to my stop, I heard over the bus radio, that there was a small sinkhole there, and for 128 drivers to use caution.

    .

Wanted to text WSB, but couldn’t get to a convenient location to do so.

Last night with the rain and dark you couldn’t see the pothole. I blew out my right front tire, and two other people had the same problem within an hour. Very dangerous. Yes, we’re buying new tires.

Sorry Carol! You can file a reimbursement claim with the city. It was impossible to see this morning. Looks like the cones got moved into the grass this afternoon but they didn’t look filled lots of gravel over spill around them now. That whole section of road is spiderweb cracked and big chunks wash out every storm. It needs repaved or caulked with tar like a runway.

Sorry, comment time is over.
