West Seattle Summer Fest 2014 set for July 11-13 – application time!

Just in from the West Seattle Junction Association – official word of West Seattle Summer Fest dates for this year, July 11-13, 2014. And if you want to be part of it, it’s time to start applying:

Local businesses, artists, restaurants, and non-profits are invited to participate. Our neighborhood consistently expresses interest in seeing local vendors and businesses at Summer Fest, and applying to have a booth at the festival is the first step. my early wish, as an entitled WSB whiner, is for better live music. And a dance floor somewhere. Puhleeze! The music has improved but please: Get new music pickers…or a truly diverse committee with more diverse connections.

I realize somebody who is probably very nice and community oriented thinks they know cool musician people, but there is more local cool out there unacknowledged. Find it! Outside your circle! They await the committee!

I agree with puhleeze, it would be great to have some swing music & jazz instead of the constant rock & roll (which is great, just would be nice to mix it up!)
