High-school football: West Seattle hosts Hale for homecoming

9:21 PM: Final score’s in from Southwest Athletic Complex – Nathan Hale 55, West Seattle High School 0. But Homecoming Night isn’t just about football. Adding photos later tonight.

12:55 AM: Photos and toplines added – including homecoming royalty:

Congratulations to this year’s royalty!

Meantime, it was another big outing for the band (which will lead the costume parade at the West Seattle Junction Harvest Festival on Sunday, 11:30 am):

Check out the guest musician, in the dark cap:

That’s WSHS alum Jim Edwards, of West Seattle Big Band and West Seattle Grand Parade fame. Back to the football game:

Hale leads the Metro Sound division; WSHS has been in its basement. #22, above, Fynniecko Glover, racked up a lot of yardage, but the closest the Wildcats got to scoring was a drive toward the end of the first half, ended when Hale intercepted a pass with a minute until halftime.

I’m sorry – the names we published are the names our photographer was given. I’ll just remove them all unless we can get a printed version somehow. Sorry!
      .
Added P.S. I just spoke to our photographer and those names were given to him on a printed piece of paper by a WSHS staffer – same names that were read over the P.A. system during the game.

Sorry, comment time is over.
