    Too fast, too furious.

    Slow down……………..

No excuse, but it’s so easy to go fast on W Marginal Way SW. There are no intersecting streets, nor are there residences after the little community next to the bridge, unless you count that one house. I’m on that street 4X a day, and have only once seen a cop. I am glad they got someone for texting!!

God forbid you go 11mph over the limit on the abandoned 5 lane highway that is West Marginal Way SW… (no, I did not get one of these tickets.)

  • javier June 24, 2011 (11:49 pm)

I agree with Adam. If there aren’t a bunch of cars on the road, I should be able to do what I want. I don’t like social contracts!

There are always police patroling West Marginal in the summer, I got a speeding ticket about 5 years ago for going 54 in a 40, the thing that really got me was the big rig hauling a** past me as I got pulled over by a motorcycle officer.

Seattle–Port Police are constantly on that stretch of road. (Marginal way).
They also can write you up for a moving violation.
40 or 50 mph — is it really that important to go ten mph faster for only a few miles? Most likely you’ll get stopped at the lights anyway.
Slow down and enjoy life you little speed-demons.

So are the police done monitoring 35th now? I haven’t seen them out in quite some time and haven’t seen 35th featured on the blog.

I have the right to speed. The police ticketing those going over the un-constitutionally imposed speed limit are violating my rights! If I want to drive drunk, or talk/ text on my high-tech cell phone, so what! By the way, I always have the latest cell phone, hi-tech wise! I currently have an Apple iPhone 6! And I am texting this message as I drive! And I ONLY drink the most expensive vodka. Prince Alexis. As you all can probably tell, I have just consumed a fifth. I also drive a hi-tech Range Rover. The cops are envious because I am so cool!

I am so upset at this police state that I refuse to have insurance. They have no right to mandate motor vehicle insurance. What in the h— is America coming to?

I’m all for reasonable speed limits in pedestrian and residential areas. There’s good sense in respecting those limits, or even driving slower. After all- “You are driving a deadly weapon”

West Marginal can be a busy road often enough. Too many Semi-trucks mixing with cars is especially dangerous. Yet daytime traffic regulates itself on those roads.

During off-peak times however, who cares if people are driving 60. Any time saved on that stretch can be better spent getting through the “clusterf*ck” at the 1st avenue Bridge.

Speed kills whether its you or someone else. Tires blow out, people lose control of their cars etc. So suck it up & respect the laws. I care if you are doing 60 in a 40. If you have to do that kind of speed, hit the highways.

Genesee Hill, i hope to assume you’re being sarcastic. But, in the off chance you’re not… I think it’s time for you to pack your bags and leave. Head as far south as you can, set up your tent, plant your pot, drink your vodka, and drive your unconstitutionally manufactured car as fast as you want. Don’t forget to keep money in your pocket to pay off those who will extort it from you while you spout off how happy you are to live in a society with no boundaries and the lack of accountability you are obviously seeking.

Head as far south as you can….. I’m thinking you can stop at Texas where the governor just vetoed a no texting bill because it infringes on individuals’ rights.

LOL, Genesee, I know you are kidding but unfortunately, I am not.

Sorry, comment time is over.
