West Seattle restaurant news: Highstrike Grill progress

Thanks to West Seattle-based journalist Gregg Hersholt for the tip – the awnings have gone up at the future Highstrike Grill, in the restaurant space at West Seattle Bowl (where Terrace West closed a month and a half ago). While snapping the photo, we dropped in to check with WS Bowl owner Andrew Carl, who says they’re hoping to be open by mid-September – the kitchen equipment is coming in next week, and more signage is on the way. He also says there’ll be a website up soon with info including the Highstrike Grill menu.

Have those windows always been there? I don’t remember seeing them before. Looks great BTW. Can’t wait to give the menu a try.

Where did Terrace West move to? Do we know yet?

Yep the windows have always been there. I remember sitting at them at the old Chinese place and watching the street while eating. There were no awnings so they didn’t stand out from the flat building front…just kind of blended in.

I miss the old restaurant just for the killer hot & sour soup, but this new one is probably a better fit for a bowling alley (more ‘basic’ burgers and fries kind of place).

Sad, another West Side Chinese restaurant goes away.

Sorry, comment time is over.
