West Seattle scenes: Holiday Art Walk, Chamber party

At Twilight Artist Collective, proprietors Mary, Erin and Allison celebrated “ugly sweater night” along with West Seattle Art Walk night. That’s one of 10 photos we’re sharing on a night that also saw the West Seattle Chamber of Commerce celebrate the season – read on for the quick tour:

Scouts caroled at The Kenney, where other musicians and even Santa Claus brought on the holiday cheer, which was also in evidence at Feedback Lounge (WSB sponsor), as Tina Walters and Leanne Merkel created decorations for the Feedback’s tree:

At Wallflower Custom Framing (WSB sponsor) in The Junction, artist Jessica Creager didn’t stop creating even for the night celebrating her work and others’:

We did manage to pull some away from their work long enough to pose – Here’s David Perry at Brunette Mix (WSB sponsor), which celebrated its 2nd anniversary with a party during tonight’s Art Walk:

At nearby Clementine, we caught Jenny Fillius in a pensive mood – she makes tin art that’s actually a lot of fun (stop by to see it this month!):

Across the street at Hotwire Online Coffeehouse (WSB sponsor), Wyn Bielaska discussed his work:

David Stern was the featured artist at Keller Williams Realty:

In the window at Click! Design That Fits (WSB sponsor), make-it-yourself Christmas trees took centerstage:

And one more scene from tonight, off the Art Walk route: The West Seattle Chamber of Commerce celebrated its holiday party at Salty’s on Alki – everybody brought a toy to donate, and we got Lars Handler and Emi Baldowin to pose with a few of them (and a nutcracker – here’s our story about their arrival last month):

Tons more holiday fun ahead. Just browse the WSB West Seattle Holidays page – which also includes information on ways you can give to others this season, from giving trees to food drives and beyond.

I kinda liked the sweaters…reminded me of a Midnight Oil meets KT Tunstall with some Neil Finn thrown in.

I loved the “You be the Artist” night at the Feedback! They always come up with fun ideas for the Artwalk night! They had 2 craft tables set up in the back, with clear glass ornaments and red mini stockings to decorate. Baskets of embellishments, pom poms to glue on, felt sticker decorations, paint pens, even a basket with a candy cane treat for munching on while making our creations! Then, when done we got to hang our ornament on their awesome “tree” made out of lights! Gotta go and check that out! Love their other decorations for the season too!

I was hoping to see pictures of cute babies being read to at Sugar Rush ;) Or maybe just one cute baby in particular.

The Art Walk was neat! I didn’t check it out much, as I was on a food mission, but what we saw was awesome!

Sorry we missed the cute baby. But if you have any photos to share, I’d be happy to add one! Glad you had a good time! – TR
