Don’t let the continued chill keep you from wandering West Seattle for tonight’s monthly Art Walk, 6-9 pm. This is the super-special late edition, including myriad chances for one-of-a-kind holiday gifts, all over the peninsula. Click ahead for a few of the MANY highlights:

The full list of participants is on the official West Seattle Art Walk site, where you’ll also find the walking map. Now, for some of the highlights shared with us by participating WSB sponsors and other businesses:

SOLD HOME DECOR: This WSB sponsor in Westwood joins the Art Walk with tonight’s event. Two artists’ work will be showcased – including Bradley Reed (abstract at left), who’s designed for the local theater community for 18 years. Sold Home Decor is right across from the Southwest Branch Library on the west side of 35th south of Henderson. On the north side of West Seattle:

CLICK! DESIGN THAT FITS: This WSB sponsor in the Admiral District just hosted artist Rachel Austin (above) for a reception last month – and she brought new work that the shop’s showcasing again tonight. Click’s John Smersh says they will be open till 9 and adds, “We also have new screen printed t-shirts from West Seattle artist Shino Mikami.”

A couple of Art Walk night Holiday Parties tonight: First, the Brunette Mix (WSB sponsor) Holiday Party 6-9 pm – Owner BJ says, “EAT, DRINK, and BE MERRY with us to celebrate our 2nd Year Anniversary and the Holiday Season! Joining us at the party will be special guests…

Brunette Mix is on the north side of Oregon, just west of California (right across Oregon from Chase Bank).

Another holiday party tonight is at C&P Coffee, 6-8 pm. Proprietor Cameron says, “Please join us at C & P for a holiday cocktail party. Bring an appetizer and mingle with your friends and neighbors as we celebrate the season. Hope to see you there!” C&P is at 5612 California SW, between California and Alaska Junctions.

On the coffeehouse theme, Hotwire Online Coffeehouse (WSB sponsor) will have artist Wyn Bielaska on hand, talking about his show Rust to Dust – more info here. Hotwire’s next to the Junction post office.

Further south on California, also in The Junction: Local artist Jennifer Ament releases her new works at a reception hosted by CAPERS Home tonight. CAPERS explains, “Jennifer Ament illustrates an image, depicting everything from flora and fauna, to French pop art. She then transfers the image to linoleum, reworking it, cutting around and inside the image, creating a beautiful piece of work that is intricate and exacting. These linocuts are printed in limited editions of 30 or less and are complemented by vintage or custom-made frames.”

Speaking of frames, Wallflower Custom Framing on the ground floor of Mural Apartments (both WSB sponsors) across from Jefferson Square is again showcasing The Puny Picture Show:

Wallflower is serving “wine and tiny snacks” and offering a framing special, $25 off any custom-framing order of at least $125.

Hopscotching back south, next to Lowman Beach, Sterling Images – and its adjoining rubber ducky reserve! – is open for Art Walk. And even further south, at The Kenney, you’ll find stained glass, wool hats, handbells, caroling, treats and Santa Claus! See the full lineup here. A very festive lineup.

And not far from there, in Morgan Junction, you can help the Feedback Lounge (WSB sponsor) decorate the Christmas tree.

Those are just a very few of the offerings tonight – more at westseattleartwalk.blogspot.com including a link to a printable map from the right sidebar.
