West Seattle coyote caught on cam, night-vision style

Just before the site’s semi-surprise outage, we happened to be out checking out another fire call that didn’t turn out to be news. On the way back, headed up the hill from Lincoln Park – didn’t catch whether this was Thistle or Rose St. – we spotted a coyote poking around a house, pulled over, and whipped out the camera to capture the above-viewable video — low quality but kind of interesting just to watch the way the critter moves. (And the frames where it passes by the fake duck.)

    Great video! Amazing to see these guys at work. Hope to stop by your booth at the Street Fest this weekend to finally say hello.

    gulp – looks as if this is house at n.e. corner of rose and fauntleroy – 2 short blocks from where scruffy, our mini schnauzer lives. earlier this year, coyote was sitting in driveway in front of our house – gulp, again.

    I was followed for a block and a half at the north end of the park two nights ago by one of these. He was not afraid of me, and I had my little dog wirh me.I thnk he wanted to eat him. It was creepy.
