Fire callout on 14th SW: Woodstove woes

Just checked out the “fire in single-family residence” call in the 8800 block of 14th SW — a woodstove that got going a little too well, according to what firefighters told us — water took care of it.

thanks for letting us know. We heard what seemed like dozens of fire trucks go by our place, and looked it up on the real time 911 log, but it didn’t tell us much we hadn’t already figured out. It’s always nice to know what is going on.

hmmm…a wood stove on a 65 degree plus day…and I’m sitting here with my windows wide open…guess my internal thermostat is a tad off – lol…

For the one-story house wood stove fire there were at LEAST 5 fire trucks including the block-long super-ladder-truck, at least 2 ambulances, at least 4 red SUVs, and 1 Seattle Police car. It looked like a MAJOR disaster from 2 blocks away. I wonder what the folks were burning in that wood stove on a lovely day like today.

Sorry, comment time is over.
