SATURDAY IN THE GARDEN
MUSIC, FRESH-BAKED PIZZAS AND A GATHERING OF FRIENDS AND NEIGHBORS
JOIN US AT THE BARTON STREET COMMUNITY GARDEN AND P-PATCH
It’s been a fabulous gardening season! August is here and the Barton Street Community Garden and P-Patch is hosting: “Saturday in the Garden.”
Enjoy sun and fun. Get down with some live music and the company of neighbors. Dive into a tasty variety of fresh, handmade pizzas from our wood-fired community oven.
The Barton Street Community Garden and P-Patch will fire up its wood-fired masonry oven, a project initiated and led by architect and designer/builder Chris Luthi.
See the P-Patch at its peak, meet new friends and neighbors and discover one of the most unique community gardens in the city! It’s also an opportunity to explore the use of traditional community ovens as well as masonry oven cooking techniques.

About the Barton Community Garden and P-Patch:
Neighbors in the West Seattle area noticed a vacant lot on the corner of Barton Ave. SW and 34th Ave SW.
This was a prime spot to create open green space! West Seattle had been designated as a priority area for new community garden development, so the neighborhood has been working with the Department of Neighborhoods, the Parks and Green Spaces Levy, and the broader community to make this garden a reality.
