Why does it only take two months for Olympic Pizza to open, but we’ve been waiting for what seems like ages for Springhill and the Bohemian?

I’m going to go pout now. I’m anxiously awaiting Springhill’s offerings.

    Goodness gracious great greek tzatziki!!

    Pardon my rave, BUT –

I just finished a visit to Olympia Pizza and I will be back. For sure. No question about it – I have to find out what a Baklava Sundae could possibly be about, for one thing.

The menu and servings are large. The prices affordable. The environs are clean and comfortable and cozy; a Pee Wee League team will no doubt fit around two of the round tables pushed near each other and there are a couple of cushey-looking booths too. I took a peek out the back and noticed a small enclosed area…could it be a patio area down the road? I didn’t ask, but I think it would be nice.

Olympia Pizza is not a big place, but the hearts of the owners are. Your hostess and host, Reny and Nick, are VERY good at what they do and are proud to be offering West Seattle some of the very best kid-friendly Greek/Italian food in the city. This is a place where pitchers of soft drinks or lemonade are served up and a half-order of one of the 13 salads will be thrice what you needed. And, then there are the pizzas. Oh, they look so darn edible up on those pizza tray risers. Did I mention the beer and wine license is in process?

Check the menu out at olypizza.net if you can’t make it in. People, they DELIVER at 933-7550. And, if you DO make it in, give a warm welcome and thank you to Reny & Nick as they prepare your left-overs to go.

You might not know it, yet, but we all need the Delridge Olympia Pizza just as much as they need us. So, be nice and support them. And, for goodness sake – Enjoy!

Just had dinner at the new Olympia Pizza and Pasta. The four of us, including a 93 year old grandmother, tried out a couple different Calzones and an order of spaghetti. Very tasty large portions were served up by a most friendly and gracious woman who if I am not mistaken is the proprietor of the establishment. The menu is quite extensive and the ambiance very pleasant. Pizza was being served to families at tables and booths and I saw other pizza pies leaving out the back via a delivery driver. Drop in and try them out or place an order for delivery – 933-7550. When you are done take a stroll down the nearby Longfellow Creek Legacy Trail as it is especially beautiful on sunny spring and summer evenings.

But what is it they’re building next door?

  • WSB May 16, 2008 (10:33 pm)

Office space, last time we checked the permits.

Does anyone know if they sell slices too, or just whole pizzas?

  • m May 17, 2008 (2:25 pm)

maybe because they are doing a lot new work to both sites. I bet it’s gonna be worth the wait.

We went last night. It was quiet when we went in, but the Hostess was very warm and wonderful. Pizza was very good, they were out of a few beverages – but then again it was opening night. Looking forward to the booze license as pizza and beer are made for each other. We just moved to the neighborhood (which we love!), just a block or so away, and we are thrilled that this is a short walk away. Next time, we try the calamari! And yes, I agree – take a walk down the trail after dinner, it is so beautiful and we feel incredibly fortunate to be where we are.

Now only if someone would put in a coffee stand in the new building…

Got some a pizza there a few hours ago and their food is yummy. Plus the selection is fantastic. They have way more then just pizza. They have a lot of choices for pasta etc and a kids menu. And they offer some Greek dishes as well. I grabbed a menu on my way out and I will be be going back to try some of the other dishes as well. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. And they make an awesome pizza, with their fresh made dough and pizza sauce. I let them know that the WSB was the reason I was stopping by as that ‘s how I found out today was opening day.
    .
One suggestion I have though is if you are coming for take out call in before hand as it was a bit of a wait today, as they make stuff fresh. But the food was good. Their pizza prices are comparable with Papa John’s in case anyone was wondering.
    .
Welcome to the neighborhood, your a gerat new addition! :)

My wife and I went on opening night and absolutely loved the food and atmosphere. We need more establishments like Olympia in Delridge. Thanks for taking a risk. What a joy!

I live really close to this establishment and went there the other day with my wife for lunch. The food was excellent and the price was right. I am very happy to have a business like this in the neighborhood.

Does anyone know if they have a website? My roommate and I would like to view their menu online before deciding whether or not to place an order. Thanks !

    olypizza.net

Be warned though, Tish, it’s a BIG menu with BIG servings.

    enjoy

Oh man, just got lunch there and the half-order of Greek salad with chicken was huge! Very good taste and price, especially considering I only finished half of it, and now will be enjoying the rest for dinner.

i’m not joking, this is the best italian food i’ve ever had in my life. the baked spaghetti’s sauce tasted like the tomatoes were right off of the vine. sweet and wonderful. i had the lasagna, it was amazing, it had it’s own sauce flavor, totally different from the spaghetti’s. it’s not one of those restaurants who just put the same sauce throughout everything. yummy garlic bread and great salad w/dinner.

Last night I ordered the lamb souvlaki and mud pie. Wow!!! Almost as good as Mom’s. THIS is real Greek food. Tender lamb, great spaghetti with mizithra and no marinara. Also, I react badly to lettuce so was delighted to have the option to substitute a Greek salad which, in the true Greek tradition, has no lettuce, only English cucumbers tomatoes, onions. I will be back. In fact, haven’t had dinner yet tonight, so may order delivery. Salivating as I write!

I am so glad that there is a yummy place to eat such delicious Greek food and pizza right on Delridge! The owner/hostess is just the most delightful person. Being a picky eater, I love that they are more than willing to add a little more sauce or cook things my way. My husband and I love to come here for our date nights. The wine selection is also lovely.

Sorry, comment time is over.
