WEST SEATTLE CRIME WATCH: Bicycle stolen in seconds

The video and report are from Nicole in Highland Park:

Our home is having construction done in the backyard. Someone brazenly walked onto our property and stole a bike. Younger bald white male wearing a gray T-shirt, black jacket, and dark jeans. If you have any tips, please help.

We don’t have a police report # yet but will add when we do.

When was this?   We were looking at the traffic cams this morning and noted a man that looked like this.   Clothing the same except the hoodie was up.   There was a bike laying on ground in front of him.   We just looked at the traffic cam and the bike is gone, as is the man.   This is the “street of stilts” under the West Seattle bridge where an encampment is.   Might or might not be.

Umm I live there. If anybody feels the need to come look around for any valid reason, I have no problem with that, as long as they are polite. Thanku

My 5th grade son had his bike stolen last week too. Denny MS area, he had only had the bike 3 days.

I swear I just saw this man on my block. It looked like it he may have been casing houses. I have never seen him on our block before. This was on SW Hudson and Puget Blvd SW.

These same person still my bike on Saturday the 27th! I’m positive that they got into my car first in the middle of the night and opened the garage. I had an AirTag on my bike and hunted for it downtown and got it back, but the person that had it was not the original person (the person in this video) I saw riding it. They were riding around downtown either dropping parts off or selling items piece by piece. The only reason I didn’t try getting my bike the first time I saw him was because the cops told me not to engage, but they weren’t showing up fast enough and the dude would be rolling to his next stop. Lock your cars and make sure the garage doors are locked as well at night, so they can’t use the garage opener if you have one sitting in your car.

Sorry, comment time is over.
