Gear up for Winter Affordably with Neighborhood Ski and Snowboard Swaps!
One of the greatest aspects of living between the Cascades and Puget Sound is the ability to experience world class ski and snowboarding within an hour or two of Seattle. For a family, it can be one of the best experiences of the year, but a bit hard on the finances. Taking the time to gear up when the Ski and Snowboard Swaps are happening can be a great solution for families with growing kids who still want to head to the hills.
If you need to gear up or if you have any used skis, snowboards, or any outdoor gear you would like to sell, the specifics are below:
* Bring your gear to drop off on October 19th from 12-6 pm. We will then have you tag and price your gear and we’ll be available to answer any questions you may have.
* The swap will last from 10:00am thru 6:00pm on Saturday October 20th, & 10:00 am thru 3:00 pm on Sunday October 21st.
* Pick-up time will be Sunday October 21st from 3:00 – 5:00 pm. You can come pick up any gear that didn’t sell, get your checks or store credit at that time. A 20% commission will be charged for those choosing a check, 100% M2S store credit will also be offered.
* Items not picked up by October 23rd will be donated to the Seattle Boys and Girls Club. Checks not picked up by October 23rd will be donated unless specific arrangements have been made with M2S.
“Our goal is to build a community of families who enjoy snow sports,” says Greg Whittaker, owner of Mountain to Sound Outfitters. “This annual swap is our commitment to helping give locals an opportunity to gear up, get rid of the gear they are no longer using”. As founder of the Seattle Ski Shuttle, helping drive the ski and board community towards sustainability is a goal of the West Seattle organizations.
