Del GriffithParticipantCan anyone suggest a tailor in West Seattle? I need to be fitted for a wedding. Thanks!

Janet M.ParticipantI have an older lady friend who currently lives at Bridgepart Retirment Housing. She was the alterations person for many years at Frederick and Nelson downtown. She makes Wedding dresses, princess dresses and formal gowns for dignataries.
If you would like her contact information please email me at bionicjanet@q.com
Thank you, Janet

SonomaParticipantSomeone should interview your friend, Janet M.! She probably has some fascinating tales to tell. I know WSB does news stories, not features, but I can see this as an interesting little feature on Evening Magazine (especially if they can show photos of the dresses worn by the famous women) or in the Seattle Times/PI.

cjboffoliParticipantWSB doesn’t do feature stories?

The Velvet BulldogParticipantBoffoli is all about the food! Unless I’m misunderstanding what “feature” means, this was my fave series. (Yes, the Bulldog can love kitties…)
Meet the West Seattle “shop cats” of Providence Mount St. Vincent
Also, thanks for the recommendation about the former F&N tailor. I have a fab velvet jacket that has a very visible seam tearing and I need someone super-talented to deal with it.

SonomaParticipantOops – I stand (and then grovel) corrected. So, maybe the WSB might want to interview the F&N lady. Could be a cool FEATURE story!
