david.e.weaverMemberI wrote up the following event. Feel free to modify or join the fun.
We need to build a formal list of items to find and finalize it nearer to the date of the event.
Event date and time: May 11, 9am to 3pm
https://westseattleblog.com/wsgaragesaledaymap
Rules:
Anyone can find any item so don’t think that girls can only look for
girl clothes etc.
Coordinate amongst your friends. This is a public event so I don’t want
any one site to become too unmanageable.
Scoring: I am trying to choose rare items so each item is worth one point.
Take pictures on your phone and either store them for comparison later
or text them to your friends.
Don’t stop at one. If you find duplicates of the same item or two good
70’s era shirts that are distinctly different, take a picture of both
in case your friends reject one as marginal or not authentic enough.
Don’t cheat. Don’t raid your closet for points. Clothing must not
currently belong to you unless you purchase it the day of the event.
Multi-task: If you need a costume for Halloween consider building it
on the day of the event.
Modifying a regular shirt to conform to an era style does not count so
don’t take a woman’s shirt and tie knots in it to make it conform.
If you find something unique you want points for notify friends ASAP
so they can start looking for something similar. You won’t get points
if your friends don’t have adequate time to look for a similar object.
And don’t expect points for it if the object was not on the list from the
beginning.

david.e.weaverMemberJans: Prize is provided by your own group for your own group. I didn’t even consider a prize for my own group. Good point though.
