smgParticipantI’m looking for live-in weekend home care for my mother, she just turned 90. She walks using a walker but increasingly we are finding the need to use a wheelchair useful outside the home. My mother lives on Puget Sound, every day is greeted with beautiful views of the water and the mountains.
My mother suffers vertigo and needs to be accompanied every time she gets up. She is still very conversational but her short term memory is leaving her. She is slowly declining. Her wish is to stay in her condo as long as possible as she loves the view and the natural light.
We’re also looking for some help preparing all meals, bathing, bathroom assist, medication reminder. Duties regular light housekeeping (laundry, dishes, dusting, vacuuming, keeping clutter down) and can include transportation (doctor’s appointments, errands – outings)
$200 per 24 hour shift, beginning at 10 a.m. (There may be some flexibility with start/end times)
Two days per weekend starting Aug 29 & 30. Other days may open in fall.
Also interested in creating a list of people who can substitute occasionally.
Must be certified as a home health aide or equivalent, have current CPR / First Aid and WA State background check and clean driving record. Please have current work references.
Excellent English required. Please contact Susan smgodfrey54@gmail.com
