JKogutMemberWe are a 30-something couple looking for a rental–and we’d love to join our friends in West Seattle! We are on the quieter side, community-minded, and professional. We need a 2 or 2+ bedroom place, in the range of $1100 to $1350 max. We have two sweet, indoor-only cats. We’d prefer modern amenities like d/w, w/d,and double-paned windows. Ideally the place would have sufficient closets/storage and easy on-street parking or available off-street parking, and location within a few blocks of a commercial district. We have friends at Admiral junction so that area would be perfect, or California junction would be great too.

addParticipantThere is a 2 bd house for rent on 39th just a few doors south of Morgan St. I don’t know the $$ or if they allow cats, but it’s worth a drive by. Just 4 blocks from the Morgan Junction and a nice big backyard. I’m pretty sure it has a view, too.

SueParticipantOn Fauntleroy, just south of Edmunds, there are 2 apartment buildings that have rental signs out front. One is the Thunderbird (west side of Fauntleroy) and the other one is across the street, a little bit south of it. There is no info on size/rent/pets, but you might drive by and find out. I
Personally, I found my rental house on Craigslist, but I also spent time driving around neighborhoods I wanted to live in and looking for signs.

SuitsarenotBoringMemberCalifornia Place apartments above Freshy’s are wonderful apartments that allow cats, have modern amenities, and are in that price range. There is something renting, but I am not sure if it is a 1 or 2 bedroom. Check Craigslist with the search of “California place.” Good luck!

JKogutMemberThanks everyone for your help! We viewed the place above Freshy’s yesterday. Its windows primarily face a lot (just north of PCC) that will have an office building built there soon. We’d rather not live with construction outside our windows for a year… Still looking! Thanks again for the suggestions.
