It’s outrageous that a large geographic area within Seattle city limits should have not a single vaccination site available, especially as our accessibility is already limited due to the bridge. Ms. Herbold, where are you?
It’s really not that hard to get to Lumen field. Bus, car, Uber, bike…Lots of available appointments. If you are eligible you can be in and out in the time it takes to research and gripe about lack of WS locations.
My wife got her shot at Safeway pharmacy – no issue.
There is an appointment only clinic at the Thistle st community center/ pool. I received my two shots there. There was no line. It has been around for over a month. so, yes there are places in West Seattle.
There is a vaccination site in WS, it’s on Thistle and you make your appointment through Seattle’s covid website. I had no problem getting an appointment. It’s for the Johnson & Johnson vaccine.
Michael Waldo: according to the city site, when I posted the reply, all that was available is the J & J and that is still the case though there are no appointments available.
When I went to the Thistle site for my second Moderna shot a few weeks ago, they were doing both. Originally the site was a pop-up with limited availability, offering only Moderna vaccines. They then expanded, and it appears they may have switched to J&J now that all the original Moderna folks have had their second shots.
