WSbeachcomberMemberLooking for a good therapist, preferably in West Seattle (downtown or Queen Anne is fine, too) to help me cope with anxiety issues and depression. I prefer a woman. Any recommendations?

ellenaterMemberI don’t have a therapist rec. for you but wanted to recommend that you really have good nutrition right now. Take sups. if you can. Calcium lowers blood pressure and that can help. Not too much salt, etc. It sounds obvious but people forget…
Take care!

ZenguyParticipantI cannot say enough nice things about Mary Clare, she is caring, understanding and honest. She is on Capitol Hill several days a week and can be reached at 206-842-0119.
Take care…been there.

missaudreyhorneParticipantI too was wondering about recommendations in West Seattle (and possibly downtown). It sounds like there are some fabulous people in other places, but I’d really rather have someone near home or work.

ElizabethMemberHi,
I am a child/adolescent psychologist in West Seattle. Here are some folks I would recommend and all of them are in W. Seattle:
Ruth Hermann Dunn, Ph.D. 206-937-1186
Gina Formea, Ph.D., 206-937-1186
Also, I know you would prefer to see a female therapist but Dr. Steve Geller in my office is also excellent. (206)935-3989

WSbeachcomberMemberThanks for your recommendations, everyone, and your kind workds. One of the names is on my insurance list so I’ll give her a call.
