I noticed an ad on the WSB for the Pine Lake Cellars tasting room, which is on Harbor Avenue. I believe another winery’s tasting room was in that location a few years ago. I think there’s another tasting room on California Avenue. Has anyone been to any tasting rooms in West Seattle? How was the wine? Is there a tasting fee?

I happened to stop by Two Brothers yesterday afternoon on the way home. It’s on California and Bradford. I met Mike and sampled his two varietal reds and one red blend. All three very good. Tasting fee is $5 which is waived if you buy a bottle. I left with two each of the three for my cellar.

I’ve not been there yet but Viscon cellars is down on California north of the Morgan Junction.

Viscon Cellars is on California and Juneau – $5 tasting fee (anywhere from 3-5 wines depending on availability), and the fee is waived with bottle purchase. They also sell wine by the glass. It’s a very comfortable space to hang out with friends and sip great wine, and you are free to bring your own snacks/appetizers to enjoy with the wine. They’re open Fridays from 5-9 and Saturdays from 2-7.

On their Facebook page they posted that in celebration of Taste Washington Wine month, there will be no tasting fees throughout March.
