SueParticipantI’m a regular there also, but I think the service can be hit or miss. We tend to go on quieter evenings of the week (not Friday/Saturday night) and sometimes it’s quick, sometimes we wait a bit. Doesn’t really seem to matter whether it’s crowded or not. One time they’ll be back a dozen times to check on us, and then another time I had a problem with a meal and I practically had to walk in the back to find someone to take care of it. I’ve always enjoyed the pizza and food though and have always been treated nicely there.

clsygalMemberI have been to Talaricos several times and never had good service. In fact, I have had increassingly terrible service the past two or three times I’ve been there. I don’t know why I go back at all. I do like the pizza, but the drinks are overpriced and poorly executed. Ifind that there is really no excuse for indifferent service, and that good service is unfortunately something that seems to becoming fewer and farther between….

westpeaceMemberIm not a regular and i’ve always gotten great service, maybe I’m lucky. The pizza takes along time sometimes, but i can’t blame my waitress for that. Plus I think because i worked in the service industry when i was younger I understand how hard it can be working with a hungry and sometimes drunk public.

villagegreenMemberSo, I was in Talarico’s this weekend and found the service to be pretty lame. I’ve never had poor service there before, so this was somewhat of a surprise.
I sat at the bar and just wanted to order a beer and some slices to go. The place was not busy at all, maybe 5 people sitting at the huge bar. Waited 10 minutes for someone to acknowledge my existence. There appeared to be quite a few staff working, but no one would even make eye contact.
Once the pizza arrived and my beer was finished, I waited another 10 minutes till the bartender came over to give me the tab. All the bar staff seemed to be congragating on the opposite side of the bar, chatting with each other as though they had nothing better to do.
The pizza will probably keep me coming back, especially now that they allow babies, but something about the place does rub me the wrong way. Sorta feels like the lackluster frat dude kind of places I try to avoid in Fremont. Wish their pizza wasn’t so damn good!

RainyDay1235MemberIt’s nothing to write home about for sure, but my husband and I swing in on the way home from work – it’s never crowded then – each get a draft beer, split a pretty good ceasar salad, each get a huge slice of pizza (margharita for me) and it sets us back about $20. Can’t beat that.

villagegreenMemberWe used to do pretty much the exact same thing. The happy hour prices are hard to beat and I do like the salads. That’s why I don’t think I’ll write them off just yet. Definitely on probation, though.

JiggersMemberclsygal..
You are right about overpriced and poorly made mixed drinks at Talarico’s. But I never really had a problem of having bad service. I’m a guy, so I love the big screens to watch sports on and the happy hour menu(pizza) so I’m not complaining. I can think of other places I wouldn’t go to at all in WS because of the pure pretentious BS.

villagegreenMemberJiggers – “pretentious BS” in WS? Does that really exist over here? When I’m in the mood for some pretension I thought I had to travel all the way over to Capitol Hill.
