What are the best, safest places to go sledding?

I was shocked by the number of parents taking their children sleigh riding on steep, busy city streets.

Driving around here is bad enough in the snow, but the last thing a driver wants to worry about is a child sleigh riding through an intersection, or starting down a hill to find kids in the middle of a street you can’t stop on. Please post some safer spots for kids to enjoy the snow.

Does the golf course let people sled anymore? That used to be one place.

Public parks with hills?

Hiawatha has a slight drop from the playstructure area to the level of the wading pool

Lincoln Park has lots of low hills and higher hills.

That’s all I can think of off the top of my head.

There were a lot of kids sledding at Hamilton Park this morning. It looked fun and pretty safe in the area they were sledding on.
