mtnfreakParticipantRainy Pass Repair, up on Stone Way in Wallingford, does excellent work. They do warranty repairs for several major outdoor brands in addition to walk in rates. Their prices are reasonable, and so is their turn-around.
FYI – I’m not aware of anyone closer who specializes in outdoor apparel.

PibalParticipantWas just at Rainy Pass Repair yesterday to pick up my repaired storage bag for a folding bicycle. It took me quite a while to find a shop that does that kind of work and I am thrilled that a place like that exists. It’s a small niche but they fill it perfectly! Open 9-6 Mon-Fri and in the same building as Tutta Bella Pizza.

maplesyrupParticipantI’ll fix it for a cup of coffee. You supply the duct tape.

AdmiralJanewayParticipantI went to Rainy Pass Repair for alterations to an outdoor jacket. When I was quoted a $75/hour shop rate, I politely left.

montanapupParticipantRainy Pass Repair. Best place within the industry or send it back to the manufacturer for warranty repair. Another option is REI. Otherwise, duct tape or Gore-tex patch. What brand?

schwaggyParticipantAdmiralJaneway – how much is your hourly rate? How much is a good mechanic or computer tech or accountant or lawyer?
