I have noticed it for several years. It’s illegal but according to a parking enforcement supervisor: We have a PEO chalking the semi-trucks weekly for the 72HR violation. The PEO is also leaving the information stating vehicles more than 80 inches wide cannot park in a residential area between midnight and 6AM. Unfortunately, parking enforcement works between 6AM-midnight, so we are not at work to enforce that ordinance. The trucks park in this area because it is close to High Point where most of the drivers live. The closest truck parking is in SODO.
