Seeking info on a safe

A 400# safe was stolen from my Mom’s basement. We know for certain it was in the house around the first week of July but didn’t notice it was missing until this last Saturday (obviously not something we accessed regularly, you figure stuff in a safe is safe). We found the safe approximately 1 block from the house with its door missing and contents gone, it was dumped down a slight gully on the west side of the road. This is on 21st Avenue SW across the street and south of the entrance to the Sanislo playground.

I am grabbing at straws here in hopes someone may have noticed this safe being moved from the house and down the street or being dumped out of a car or van. We believe it would have taken two people or possibly one person and a hand truck to do this. If you happen to recall seeing this type of activity and can provide any details (descriptions of people, license plate numbers, even a date you witnessed the activity, etc.), it would be much appreciated if you could contact the police and reference case #15-363728. We have some suspicions of how this may have happened and additional information may help to confirm or remove those suspicions. Unfortunately because what’s left of the safe has been out in the weather for a while, the police are not able to fingerprint it. So without additional information, this will wind up as yet another unsolved robbery.
