saturno_vMemberToday around noon I had 2 guys with a pick up truck and some sort of boxes in the back knocking at my back door up my driveway (I live in the Erskine Way area down from the junction)
and asking if I was interested in buy meat….I did not get the impression that these boxes in the back were some sort of coolers or meat containers.
Any of you is familiar with this people?? or heard about them before?? Should I get worried this was some sort of house robbery scouting mission??

JanSParticipantit’s not a business you want to get your meat from. Poor quality meat scam artists….there have been many reports about guys like this in the community in the past.

lindaParticipantThese guys were at my mom’s house in the last couple of weeks (near Sanislo). They were pretty persistent and didn’t want to take no. Claimed they were selling Omaha Steaks. She managed to keep them on the porch and get rid of them without making a purchase.
I believe a quick search of the blog for this topic will yield quite a few threads which, summarized, say “don’t buy meat out of the back of a truck”.
