ErikParticipantsocl – If you dance in the ‘all ways’ intersection you’ll be right in front of WSB, (TR, Patrick, and Jr.) and they’ll get you on vid!

MichellMemberI haven’t met any WSB’ers yet, but have posting reading/lurking for a long time. My husband and I are going up for our “first” dancing in the street. Maybe we’ll meet some of you.

WSBKeymasterJanS, Aim and Socl-etc. dropped by the Info Booth just before we left shortly after 7 pm, so we can vouch for their presence at Summer Fest. I’m going back sometime before 9 pm to get some video of the street dance excitement; we also videotaped the hot band of the evening, Saturday Knights, and will add that in the “evening updates” post … We’re back at the info booth tomorrow, 11 am-5ish pm, thanks to everyone who has stopped by so far … TR

JanSParticipantwell, let me say, I had a great time. The Velvet Bulldog got me out there dancing (sort of), and then Erik joined us, and we danced the evening away. Had a beer with JenV and her guy Erick (right sp.?), and hung with Aim and Soclwrkrinmotn, ran into Beachdrivegirl and her bf, the tall guy. Saw Andrea briefly., too.
It was sooo much fun…good band, mellow crowd…more “adult” than in past years…I’m so glad I went. I actually loosened up the body a bit, I do believe :)
Erik, it was wonderful of you to get “goofy” with me. What a blast.
Aim and Socl..I even made it home before midnight :)..and you were worried – lol..Aim..hope the back, etc is feeling better.
Just wait until next year…we’ll plan ahead and get a really big contingent there :)
OK..it’s late…going to bed now :)

SueParticipantWish I could’ve made it last night – sounds like fun – but my cranky leg wasn’t cooperating well enough for the 1/2 mile walk over there after the trip to Costco. :) Hopefully next year. Amazingly, I could hear the music from my house, 1/2 mile away though! At least I assume it was from there.

JoBParticipanti think WSB should sell buttons with a line for your forum name if you want to advertise.. so we can easily find one another at these events…
i may even consider wearing a t-shirt for this cause:)

i got to thinking about it…
and even t-shirt transfers would be cool.. then you could put them on whatever kind of shirt you wear…
and yes… for a profit!
as much as i appreciate them, i won’t give them the shirt off my back…
but i might wear one for them:)

AnonymousInactivejan, in honor of you, I’ve often thought of wearing a t-shirt with a circle/slash mark (as in NO) over hehehe. There would be no end to me hearing it spoken though, and I’m already tormented on here.

RSMemberAww, sounds like you guys had fun!! We would have loved to go (and meet the famous JenV!) but we were having a pretty great time at the Sub Pop festival, so I can’t be too sad about it.
I love the idea of t-shirts. Maybe they could say “I Survived the LGBT/Straight Exclusion Thread.” :)

PeachesParticipantBummed that I missed the dancing festivities. I was so wrapped up in yard work that I didn’t even stagger back into the house until 7:00. I love the idea of a big get-together at next year’s Fest. How about a WSB take-over of one of the beer gardens? Non-hostile take-over, of course ;)

JanSParticipanthey, we could have our own private street dance – lol..remember, neighborhood night out comes up in early August…wonder if there’s still time to get a street closure permit? hmmmm…..
