jlockParticipantWe were hoping to go with Renewal by Anderson because we’ve heard the products are very good, but the high pressure sales tactics are so off-putting I really don’t want to work with that company.

JeannieParticipantSeattle Glass and Window. None of that high-pressure nonsense like the big-name guys with the ubiquitous advertising. Seattle Glass and Window is a relatively small company with fast service, friendly and knowledgeable professionals, and reasonable prices. I am very happy with the results. Of course, you’ll want to get several estimates.

tkParticipantYes, try other companies for quotes- We were given an initial quote from Renewal of over $50,000, and then told there was a “special” so the price would be “just $30,000” for 10 smallish windows- that’s $3,000 each! And the windows didn’t look that great- very bulky hardware.

LtMGmParticipantWe replaced all of our windows in our 69 yo house with Milgard windows ordered thru Home Depot. If you are not the DIY kind of person I’m sure you can have Milgard come and give you an estimate. We got the white vinyl sliders and also asked for the TINT for hotter States, they’re not dark but it keeps the Summer heat from penetrating into your home. Bottom line, we are very happy with them. OH and they came and replaced our one slider (no charge) when the seal broke when we first moved in and we hadn’t even purchased it!

swParticipantWe used Soundview Window and Door and had great results. They installed Andersen replacement windows – same good product without the sales pressure.

savoirfaireParticipantAbout nine years ago we got quotes from a few companies and ended up getting Milgard windows from Intermountain Glass Inc.; the windows have been great and we really liked working with Intermountain. They weren’t high-pressure sales folks, and they had a great suggestion about extending the opening for one of our living room windows, which was a different size from the other one, so that they would match. They just seemed like nice folks who were interested in a good result.
