With all the recent reports of car prowling, this sounds more “stolen and dumped” than just “lost.” From Shay:

I live in upper Fauntleroy and found papers in the street outside my house today. Turns out it’s not trash but it’s the registration certificate and insurance card for a 1999 red Toyota 4Runner, as well as an “America the Beautiful” National Parks pass.

There isn’t car in the neighborhood that fits this description, so I’m planning on bringing these to the Southwest Precinct police station. Hoping they can reunite these papers with the owner!
