Rave – Westcrest dog park

I went for the first time today. I was a little hesitant to take my dog there, as I’d heard stories of men playing ‘hide the chicken’ with each other in the bushes, open drug use, and unruly dogs with unruly owners.

I was pleasantly surprised to see no evidence of any of that today. I ended up spending two hours there with my pup and it was great to see a well attended, well maintained and welcoming dog park.

Time to start making this a weekly trip, at least.

hahahaha…I have never heard that term “hide the chicken”…I’ve always heard it was salami. Hehehe…chicken made me laugh out loud…so glad you had a good experience on such a beautiful day…

I run on the trails there regularly. I nearly tripped over some people sleeping once, but it WAS six in the morning. It’s always been quiet when I’ve gone there.

We take the Shibaboyz there a few times a week and have never really had any problems. There are the usual types you run in to at any dog park but this West Crest is certainly not the horrid place some people like to make it out as.

As far as “chicken in the bush” goes… we don’t go to that part of the park so we haven’t had any encounters with that.

We love West Crest!
