jwwsParticipantHere’s my rant: To the woman in the silver BMW sedan who was second in line at the stop sign at Oregon/Glenn Way about 4:30 today. The car in front of you stopped and went through the intersection, I had right of way being on the main through fare- you had the stop sign yet you breezed right through it nearly taking the front end off my Jeep Cherokee. I hit my brakes, laid on the horn and you were completely oblivious while chatting with your rider – and yes I followed you for a while to get your license plate number all the way to Beach Drive – will file a complaint with SPD. How hard is it to learn the rules of the road around here???

EmmyJaneParticipantAnother rant: Bus stop at 3rd and Pike (West Seattle related b/c that’s where you catch the 54/55). I’m so sick of all the stupid thugs hanging around that block. Today while waiting for the bus, some kid got the crap beat out of him, while people just STOOD THERE WATCHING. I was in shock. There are normally two police officers there (thank you thugs for making the tax payers employ two full time workers because you feel the need to make our streets unsafe) but not today. So sick of feeling unsafe around that area.

dawsonctParticipantJohnny, if it hasn’t moved in that amount of time, just call the city and report it abandoned. They will tag it, and if it isn’t moved in something like 48 hours, they will tow it.

JanSParticipanta different perspective —> as a card carrying member of the female sex, I do not find “douchebag” insulting. I use the term myself. It’s not referring to a woman, it’s referring to a…well…a douchebag. Maybe it’s insulting to the bag itself, but the bag needs to speak up then ;-)

The answer is simple yet unfortunate. Someone who can sell it to get money for something they need badly…drugs…food…who knows. Probably drugs though.
It was brand new, I bet if I used it once or twice they would have left it.

Your brainless move yesterday @ 6:30 of being in the left-hand lane about to take the exit off Admiral down to Luna Park and then suddenly deciding, “Uh, no–I need to get on the West Seattle Bridge”, and moving over WITHOUT LOOKING nearly cost us both our lives and my nine year old’s as well AS YOU JUST ABOUT SLAMMED INTO ME. You know it. Thankfully I was driving the posted 30, and that we were both wearing seat belts and the brakes on the Volvo responded aptly, because you caused us to screech to a halt, probably missing you by an inch. I laid on the horn, you moved over, as if you were going to…maybe apologize, see if we were okay???? But, then no–you drove off. We were on our way to the airport, and my daughter sobbed most of the way from the impact(I threw on the brakes like never before as you moved right into me!!!) and resulting tension of the seatbelt on her neck/shoulder.
There, I’ve ranted. We were both lucky, we are fine today, and I will always support that 30 mph speed limit on Admiral, as I believe it has saved my life twice–and same spot.

To the Soulless asshole caregivers taking care of my grandparents:
How could you steal their wedding bands? I was to inherit my grandmother’s ring.
If you have parents with care givers, do yourself a favor and LOCK UP ANYTHING OF VALUE, especially if it is sentimental value.
