greatfree1MemberI don’t think he is either. I do respect what he does as most people nowadays do nothing. I think the media needs to watch the video before they write stories. I see nothing wrong with what he did in this video, he was protecting himself.
The worst thing I saw in this video was that after calling 911 for a fight in progress and a person getting hit by a car it took SPD 20 minutes to arrive. Another reason I will not go downtown until this city takes crime seriously.

DBPMemberThe title of this hilarious video is “Phoenix Jones Stops Assault.”
Ha. Yeah, he stopped it alright. By flinging his own body into the melee and letting that drunk chick whale on him instead of the other dude she WAS kicking.
OMG! Was this woman one of the people who claimed they were just “frolicking” around? If that’s the way she frolicks I’d hate to be around when she’s actually ANGRY.
The People’s Verdict:
Using this video as evidence, I believe that Mr. Phoenix Jones (Superhero) should be charged with some kind of misdemeanor fashion crime.
Meanwhile, Angry Drunk Chick should be charged with first degree ASW.

JiggersMemberIt is absolutely ridiculous to me that being within two blocks of Pioneer Square, and right under the viaduct on ramp, it took the police a great amount of time to respond to a distress call in the middle of downtown Seattle. Where were the cops, at Denny’s having a coffee break? Now that’s scary.

maplesyrupParticipantMy friend’s dad used to tell us that the only people out after midnight are cops and drunks.
I guess you can include super heroes in that group now too.
Shoegirl was interviewed on the Dave Ross show this morning and boy does she tell a different story than the video shows.

DBPMemberPerhaps where Shoegirl comes from this is typical courtship behavior. (aka frolicking)
The female Pedebellicus robustus performs an exquisitely choreographed mating dance during which she batters suitors repeatedy with her footwear, whipping them into a frenzy of passion.
Several males may be killed or mutilated before she finally settles on one she considers fit to mate with.

MBParticipantShe was interesting to listen to on the radio. According to her, the person struck by the car was with her group, yet she never once mentioned how that person was doing and didn’t seem at all concerned that someone hit her friend with a car and then drove off. Oh, and she was totally sober during the incident (rolls eyes). She biffed it pretty hard at the beginning of the video for someone who was stone cold sober…at 3am…under the viaduct. Classy…

metrognomeParticipantfirst, the guy who filmed this needs to invest in a steadi-cam if he is going to consider himself a ‘production’ company.
second, there isn’t a Denny’s anywhere near this location.
third, you can’t fault the police response time without hearing the 911 call(s). Not sure where the ’20 minutes’ came from as the video is only 14 minutes. The cops have a lot to do in that area at night and frankly, this didn’t look like that big a deal as there were no weapons and no one really got hurt. Seemed like lots of screaming and flailing, but I quit watching the vid before I hurled. BTW, cars go the wrong way up that poorly marked one-way street and almost hit people every day.
fourth, I’m surprised the federal cops didn’t show up as this was within a 1/4 mile of a federal building. I worked a block from here for 20+ years and the boys in black used to be the first responders in Post Alley.
fifth, the dude ain’t no Curtis Sliwa and he’s gonna eventually end up with a rather painful if not fatal hole in his body.

JiggersMemberUnless his suit is constructed like Ironman’s, he’s going to get it one night.
