beachdrivegirlParticipantIt is quite shocking when you compare the two photos..
September 1, 2008 at 12:59 am #636781
addParticipantI should say that the photos should be viewed with a skeptical eye – anything can be changed/edited these days. But still.

JoBParticipanti couldn’t get to the photos..
but i do have to ask,
if she was pregnant.. how good is her judgment???
she delayed the birth for a speech, and 8 hour flight and then 45 minutes more to reach an obscure medical clinic.. with no medical attendance at all?
I know some women don’t show much when they are pregnant..
but that isn’t how any pregnant woman i have ever known reacts when her fluid starts leaking and her baby is premature…
something, somewhere is very wrong.

CaitParticipantNewResident, you have got to be kidding me? You’re just going to ignore all the horrible insinuations the conservative media made about Obama being a Muslim? That’s not irresponsible and tasteless? The liberals of this country shouldn’t be held accountable for the media their parts produces, nor should the conservatives, so please don’t tell me that this confirms what you think about most liberals. Let this story be researched and drug through the mud like Obama’s religion and Edward’s baby. It’s convention season – your party is going to have to do its time too, regardless of whether it involves a 16 year old girl. I feel horrible for her, but let’s get it straightened out since her name is the mud anyway.
September 1, 2008 at 2:46 am #636784
charlabobParticipantOnce again, let’s make it clear if this story is true, the 16 year-old girl is the victim of her mother’s incredible arrogance. ALL SHE HAD TO DO was say no when McCain asked her to run. I cannot say this validates what I think of most people on the right, because it’s quite beyond what I would expect of the worst of them.
September 1, 2008 at 2:51 am #636785
KenParticipantI scanned the dk diary and decided to ignore it.
The insinuation is a bit thin and I know enough not to base anything important on photos. If it has legs someone besides the tabloids will start churning it.
I actually don’t care about whatever strange decisions she may or may not have made within her family.
I do care that she is so ignorant as to think the Pledge of Allegiance was written by the “founding fathers”.
This is monumental ignorance or towering stupidity. Pick one.
See question 11
http://eagleforumalaska.blogspot.com/2006/07/2006-gubernatorial-candidate.html
And if you want to see a few more examples of her fanatical terror of the public school system, Unions and 9 out of ten of the bill of rights, check out a few of the other answers.
Alaska may deserve her but the rest of us gotta draw the line somewhere.
September 1, 2008 at 5:06 am #636786
MissKMemberKen I actually care if a woman is going to stand on her soapbox about pro-life and use the example of her pregnancy to move people, and in actuality (if true) never had to “choose” to keep a pregnancy. Plus, be it as it may sometimes the tabloids are the first to crack a major story (Edwards) and then the legit news picks it up after more and more facts come out. She is also a heartbeat away from possibly running our entire country. Im sorry but this woman I DO NOT want running things.
September 1, 2008 at 5:29 am #636787
CountingCoupMemberI believe its more than the issues, it’s all about lying to the public…
Haven’t we had enough of this in the last 8 years?
Palin, sweet child of mine? or maybe her daughters?
September 1, 2008 at 5:58 am #636788
jennycollinsMemberI know how much both Democrats and Republicans love to find ways to put each other down…but this is just low.

Can we please put this rumor to rest now?
September 1, 2008 at 6:06 am #636789
acemotelParticipantOMG McCain actually cited Palin’s PTA experience as evidence of her VP readiness. If the position weren’t so deadly critical, the statement would be funny. Someone has to shore up McCain’s foreign policy ignorance, FGS the man thinks Putin is the president of Germany. And Palin is not the one to do it. It’s unbelievable what’s happening in this country. When it seemed NOTHING could be more damaging than Bush, here comes McCain with his memory lapses and hot temper, with his PTA president.
September 1, 2008 at 6:13 am #636790
MissKMemberjenny that is a very republican, pro-life, christian run website so what would you expect them to say? If this story is true then the truth will come out. It always does.
September 1, 2008 at 6:18 am #636791
jennycollinsMemberwell, Daily Kos is a very liberal website. so no matter how you spin it, both sides are going to defend their position.
i agree with you that the truth will come out either way. but i just don’t agree with one sided arguments. i’m not a fan of mccain/palin by any means, but it seemed like everyone was attacking palin and no one was willing to show the other side of the story.
there’s my 2 cents. i’m done.
September 1, 2008 at 6:25 am #636792
HunterGParticipant*edited for grammatical error*
We can put the rumor to rest when SOLID proof is given. I am looking for the date stamp on the picture I saw earlier that shows the daughter sporting a “baby bump” stating it is from 2006 and cannot find one.
How do we know this blogger at “townhall” has any more credibility than the next?
By the way, I think that you forgot to mention the fact that this blog site is obviously not a Obama supporter, (hmmmm…)which may give light as to their defense of Gov. Palin.
September 1, 2008 at 6:27 am #636793
acemotelParticipantAnd accept the fact that she WILL be president if McCain wins. It’s not a question of IF but WHEN. There’s a scary thought.
September 1, 2008 at 6:34 am #636794
CountingCoupMemberSorry, the main media can be controlled by Corporate money but the grass roots media and information cannot.
I’m not saying grassroots are always correct, but generally where there is smoke, there is fire…
Lets see how this one plays out:
September 1, 2008 at 4:18 pm #636795
GenHillOneParticipantWow, this is one way to debunk the rumor – Today show just announced (via Reuters) that Bristol has confirmed that she is CURRENTLY 5 months pregnant and planning to marry the father.
September 1, 2008 at 4:56 pm #636796
BonnieParticipantYeah, just saw that on the news. http://blogs.abcnews.com/politicalpunch/2008/09/gov-palin-says.html
September 1, 2008 at 5:09 pm #636797
flipjackParticipantMy god I can’t believe they are now going to fake TWO pregnancies.
I can tell you her daughter is not pregnant, we always used birth control, I used condoms and she had an IUD AND was on the pill.
She broke up with me a month ago and I’m sure they have a surrogate mother by now that will deliver “her child”.
This is just tooo much.
September 1, 2008 at 5:30 pm #636798
RainyDay1235MemberLOL. Well, Not sure about the first one, but the second pregnancy is definitely the daughter. Apparently McCain knew and didn’t consider it an issue.
Gotta say, not sure how the “Soccer Moms of America” are expected to relate to this high-powered political NRA member whose husband takes care of the children, who has a son going off to Iraq but hasn’t “really followed the war”, who opposes abortion even in cases of rape and incest, who had yet another child at 44 (or helped cover up her daughter’s child – whatever), and is now leaving that newborn to run for VP. Of course if she were a man most of these would not be a non-issue. But assumig she’ll relate to the Women of America? ..I don’t see it.
September 1, 2008 at 6:37 pm #636799
RainyDay1235Member…and must add this:
>>In a 2006 Eagle Forum questionnaire, Palin indicated that she supported funding abstinence-until-marriage education programs instead of teaching sex-education programs. “Explicit sex-ed programs will not find my support,” Palin wrote in the conservative group’s questionnaire.
September 1, 2008 at 8:00 pm #636800
HunterGParticipantSeptember 1, 2008 at 8:02 pm #636801
flipjackParticipantWell, all I can say for Palin is that at least she seems to have an active sex life which is more than it ever seemed for the petrified sexuality of Hillary Clinton.
The other thing is I was doing JESST fine ignoring politics and this stoopid presidential popularity contest until this twittery twit Palin got into the mess. I need to go back into my cave now. And I do mean twittery twit.
September 1, 2008 at 8:18 pm #636802
DannoMemberI see absolutely no West Seattle angle to this thread. I cannot believe this blog/forum is sinking to the depths of the Kos kid nutters. I mean, really, Kos is not just “very liberal,” my opinion is that it is a cesspool of hate. Those moonbat nutters posting on here, I wll not name names, you know who you are, need to broaden your sources of information, or remain irrelevant to intelligent discussion.
I am finished posting here, as have others since it is impossible to have fair and intelligent discussions. I thought the left was the tolerant side (sarcasm/).
September 1, 2008 at 8:36 pm #636803
HunterGParticipantMoonbat nutters, lol. I’ve never heard that one before.
September 1, 2008 at 9:31 pm #636804
CaitParticipantWell it won’t seem West Seattle oriented until she’s president and effecting the whole country, including us. Can’t handle the heat, get out of the kitchen, I say. It’s too bad because it’s nice to have differing views on here but if it’s just going to be us “moonbats”, so be it.
I fully encourage and respect arguments from others especially when discussing something as heated as politics, otherwise I wouldn’t be here. And if you can’t handle it, think about just why it gets you mad and not curious or challenged positively. Be open minded, please.
